Basic installation and resources of the Adobe Creative Cloud
1. Install the Adobe Creative Cloud from the UKY Software's Website
2. Open the Adobe Creative Cloud on your Computer
3. Install your Recommended Software
- Commonly Used Software at the CoD: Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, & Lightroom.
- Please note that installing the Creative Cloud and Adobe Features may take an extended period of time and is best done with your laptop on its charger.
4. Check out additional features from the Adobe Creative Cloud in the App or on your Browser
- Recommended: Adobe Fonts, Adobe Color, & Adobe Stock.

- Download the Adobe Creative Cloud from the link above and open the download on your computer.
- Log in with your LinkBlue ID
- Begin the installation of your recommended software.
- This is the recommended app for opening and viewing PDFs and Image files for paper printing.
- ✅ This is the best app for paper printing at the CoD.
- You can also use this app to perform useful commands such as:
- Compressing PDF (reducing file size)
- Converting file types
- Editing PDFs
- Combining pages into a single file.
- This is a key program for graphic design and creating digital artworks.
- An array of commands can be used to create scalable vector graphics such as patterns, logos, and details.
- Illustrator works best with single or small-page-count files.
- InDesign is a favorite for graphic layouts for multi-page documents such as portfolios and booklets.
- Tools like parent pages ensure consistency.
- link-based program - linked images are sourced from your files, which keeps your file small and at less risk of a crash.
- This is in contrast to an embedded-based program, like Illustrator, which keeps all your images and links in the design file.
- Photoshop is a go-to tool for photo editing and collage work.

1. Navigate to "MyUK.uky.edu"

2. Enter your LinkBlue ID

3. Click "Log-In"

4. Click on Your Name in the top right corner

5. Click on "My Account"

6. Click on the "My Access" Tile

7. Click Remove for Adobe Creative Cloud.

8. Open the Adobe License Request Form. https://uky.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_7NBfLw7G6kjtwnX

9. Click "Academic / Instructional"

10. Select Acrobat Pro (licensed PDF creator/editor).

11. Select Photoshop.

12. Select Illustrator.

13. Select InDesign.

14. Click the "Tap or click here" button

15. Agree to the terms and conditions.

16. Once you receive an email from UK ITS...

17. Open "Adobe Creative Cloud"

18. Type "@uky.edu" in the Email Address box and click "Continue"

19. Login with your Linkblue ID and Password

20. Install the Adobe applications you need!
